I like what I've read about Drew Brees hosting off-season practices during the lockout. The lockout will obviously affect different teams in different ways. I think the Saints will come out of the gate a little more prepared than most.

Steelers +2.5 Ravens (H)

It's the Lions defense that has me most intrigued this season.

Falcons -3 Bears (H)

Bad vibes coming out of the Windy City. From the players feeling down about the off-season departure of longtime center Olin Kreutz, to the shitty grass they play on at Soldier Field... just bad vibes. The Falcons, however, they're all in.

Titans +3 Jaguars (H)

To be honest, I grabbed this line just before the Jags released starting QB David Garrard. Oh well. I'm stuck with an unfair line. No big deal. I actually still think the Titans are in more disarray than the Jags.

Panthers v. Cardinals(H) O/U @ 36.5

Cam Newton won't shine in his first NFL start. And I don't expect the Cardinals offense to click right away (though as the season progresses I think they'll start surprising teams).

One team on the rise, the other in a flat spin with a rookie QB.
