I have no idea why I like so many O/U's this week...
6 pt. teaser
Colts E Jaguars (H) & O/U @ 38
DeVoodoo's pick: Colts/OVER
The Colts need this win to clinch their place in the playoffs, so expect an all-out effort, despite Marvin Harrison's absence. The Jags will try to play spoiler and will put up a few points, thus the teaser rationale (which hasn't worked great for me this year).
Steelers/Titans (H) O/U @ 34.5
DeVoodoo's pick: OVER
The winner secures home field advantage throughout the playoffs. I'm betting that a special teams or defensive touchdown or two will push this line over.
Ravens/Cowboys (H) O/U @ 39.5
DeVoodoo's pick: UNDER
The Cowboys field a finesse offense that doesn't like to get slapped around. The Ravens D slaps people around. So I expect the Dallas offense to struggle, and their defense to equally stifle the Ravens vanilla offense.
Eagles/Redskins (H) O/U @ 39.5
DeVoodoo's pick: OVER
The Eagles should put up their usual dose of offensive points, but will this be the week the Redskins finally get their offense back on track? I'm betting yes.
Saints/Lions (H) O/U @ 50.5
DeVoodoo's pick: UNDER
There won't be any need for the Saints to air it out as they usually do to keep pace with their opponents. The Lions have an anemic offense and terrible run defense, so I expect the Saints' RB Pierre Thomas to rush the ball frequently, chewing up lots of clock.
Packers +4 Bears (H)
DeVoodoo's pick: Packers
My first gambling mentor once gave a great piece of advice: NFC North road dogs usually cover the spread. I have no idea why, but it's proven true a remarkable number of times over the past 15 years.
