WEEK 8

Lions -3 Broncos (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: LIONS
I just don't get it. Do that many people with betting money really believe the Tebow hype? Fine. Let them affect the line favorably. The Lions are legit in all phases of the game. This is the week everyone finally gets a sanity check on Tebow.

Vikings/Panthers(H) O/U @ 47.5

DeVoodoo's pick: UNDER
That's a lot of points for two rookie QB's (despite the fact that Christian Ponder played surprisingly well in his debut last week).

Bills -6 Redskins (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: BILLS
The Bills are fresh of a bye, and playing incredibly explosive football. The Redskins are starting to do what the Redskins do -- fall apart miserably.

Cowboys/Eagles(H) O/U @ 51

DeVoodoo's pick: OVER
Just a hunch that this one if gonna be wildly offensive.

Chargers +3.5 Chiefs

DeVoodoo's pick: CHIEFS
Two teams headed in opposite directions.

WEEK 7

Texans +3 Titans (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: TEXANS
Though Texans head coach Gary Kubiak typically finds a way to lose when he simply must win, I think the Titans are running on borrowed mojo. They are due for a correction.

Chiefs +4 Raiders (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: CHIEFS
The Chiefs can suddenly reclaim relevancy with a win in Oakland on Sunday. Though Raider's head coach Hue Jackson is mum on who his starting QB will be, it would be shocking if back-up Kyle Boller didn't get the call ahead of freshly-traded-for Carson Palmer. And Boller kinda sucks.

Packers/Vikings(H) O/U @ 46.5

DeVoodoo's pick: UNDER
Vikings rookie QB Christian Ponder makes his first career start against a defending world champion defense? Hmm. Adrian Peterson may get the ball 30 times this game in what the Vikings have gotta hope will remain a low-scoring affair throughout.

Colts/Saints(H) O/U @ 48.5

DeVoodoo's pick: UNDER
The Colts tried, they really did, to make the best of this Manning-less season. But the fact is they're terrible, and this will be the game they collectively give up.

Ravens/Jaguars(H) O/U @ 40

DeVoodoo's pick: OVER
I get the sense the Monday night stage will inspire rookie Jags QB Blaine Gabbert. Look for this game to be more competitive than it might seem on paper.

WEEK 6

Colts +7 Bengals (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: COLTS
The Colts simply aren't giving up on the season despite their 0-5 record. They're competing hard every week. Lining up their fierce pass rushers against a rookie QB could provide the ideal recipe for their first win of the year.

Eagles -1 Redskins (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: EAGLES
This is the end of the line for the Eagles. A loss this week and it's all over. And this Redskins team is not as good as everyone thinks it is.

Cowboys/Pats(H) O/U @ 55.5

DeVoodoo's pick: UNDER
I'll take the under at 55.5 points in any NFL game, any time.

Saints/Bucs(H) O/U @49.5

DeVoodoo's pick: UNDER
The Saints always play a bit slower on outdoor grass.

Vikings +3 Bears (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: VIKINGS
The Bears have serious O-line issues. It won't get solved with Jared Allen coming to town.

Dolphins +7 Jets (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: JETS
I actually regret this play a bit. The Jets are proving themselves to be a dysfunctional franchise. Oh well. We'll see.

WEEK 5 - MNF

Jay Cutler passing yardage O/U @ 250.5

DeVoodoo's pick: OVER
Mike Martz will want to stick it to Detroit (his former employer) in the worst way -- and in the way truest to his nature -- throwing the ball all over the field.

Wednesday, October 5, 2011

WEEK 5 EARLY PICKS

Raiders/Texans(H) O/U @ 49

DeVoodoo's pick: UNDER
When you take away WR Andre Johnson (injured) and factor in Houston's much-improved defense, I think we might just slip under this high total.

Jet's +9 Patriots (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: JETS
The Jets will be playing their divisional rival in a very desperate state of mind. That's an awful lot of points for a team that will surely be driven to right the course.

Chargers/Broncos(H) O/U @ 47

DeVoodoo's pick: UNDER
I can't really explain why this total is so high. The Chargers offense is banged up and out of sync. The Broncos haven't done anything to impress offensively. This is easily my favorite play of the weekend so far.

Packers -5.5 Falcons (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: FALCONS
Another team feeling the heat. I'll take a talented but desperate home team on prime time (SNF) every time.

SNF - WEEK 4

Mark Sanchez TD passes O/U @ 1.5

DeVoodoo's pick: OVER
For those with access to exotic bets, I this one. The Jets game plan will be to air it out versus the Ravens tonight.
