Neither team is playing for a playoff spot, but the Falcons are trying to post back to back winning seasons for the first time in team history. The Falcons were supposed to make the playoffs this year. Matt Ryan had an off year. The Falcons are 2 - 5 on the road this season. I just see too many reasons for the Falcons to want to close stronger than the Bucs. 

Titans  -4  Seahawks (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: Titans

I kept waiting for the Seahawks to wake up this season. It never happened. I see no reason for it to happen in week 17, especially with the Titans offense trying their damndest to get RB Chris Johnson the single season rushing record. 

Patriots/Texans(H)  O/U  @ 46

DeVoodoo's: UNDER

The Patriots will try their best to make this a short, boring conclusion to the regular season. Even if the Texans want to have an offensive shootout, the Patriots won't bite. 

Bengals/Jets(H)  O/U  @ 35

DeVoodoo's pick: OVER

The Jets need a win to get in, and the Bengals are claiming they'll play full throttle (though I doubt it). Regardless, this total is too low for a prime time game with playoff ramifications. 

MNF - WEEK 16

Vikings/Bears(H)  O/U @ 41.5

DeVoodoo's pick: UNDER

Harsh winds of up to 27-mph are blowing through the Windy City. Wind, more than rain or snow, inhibits passing games. I'm betting on a low scoring affair. 

WEEK 16 ADDENDUM

Lions/49ers(H) O/U @ 41

DeVoodoo's pick: UNDER

The Lions will be typically ineffective on offense, especially with QB Drew Stanton at the reigns. And I expect the 49ers to try to win this one on the ground.

The Cowboys need to keep fighting for playoff glory, but it is a prime time road game, so I like the padding of a teaser here.

WEEK 16

Steelers TEAM O/U @ 21.5 v. Ravens

DeVoodoo's pick: OVER

The Steelers will pull out all the stops to end the season respectably. Good offense is the only chance they have at a win.

Seahawks TEAM O/U @ 14 v. Packers

DeVoodoo's pick: OVER

WEEK 15

Damnit! Totally forgot to post my Colts pick on Thursday night. Oh well. I actually have it as part of three-game parlay this weekend (other games on the ticket are Cowboys/Saints and 49ers/Eagles). Anyway...

Cowboys  +7.5  Saints  (H)

I think the Saints will win. Just not by 7.5. 

49ers  +8  Eagles (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: 49ers

The Eagles offense is hot, but so is the Niners defense (seven turnovers last week against the Cardinals). I like the points. 

Benagls  +7  Chargers (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: Bengals

Sure, I'll admit this pick has everything to do with Chris Henry's death this week in a bizarre car accident/domestic dispute. But it could provide just the right spark to give the Bengals an edge here. 

WEEK 14

Steelers TEAM O/U @ 21.5  v.  Browns (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: OVER

The Steelers have gone from reigning Super Bowl champs to DEFCON 5 in about a month. However, despite recent troubles, I can't imagine this team losing five games in a row (especially when it's the Browns at #5). I expect a determined performance tonight that should easily eclipse three TD's. 

Broncos  +7  Colts (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: Colts

The Colts can wrap up their regular season tonight (for all intents and purposes). I look for them to bury the Broncos. 

Dolphins +3  Jaguars (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: Dolphins

The Jags have been playing scrappy football. They're definitely playing beyond their talent level (including coaches). But reality should catch up with them this week. 

Chargers +3  Cowboys (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: Chargers

The Chargers are good, plain and simple. They're getting hot at the right time, too. I think this will be one of those games that reminds folks the AFC is generally stronger than the NFC. 

Eagles  +1  Giants (H) 

DeVoodoo's pick: Giants

I have nothing of substance to offer in terms of analysis. This is just a hunch. 

Cardinals  -3.5  49ers (H) 

DeVoodoo's pick: 49ers

I'll admit the 'Niners have performed worse than expected in recent weeks. But I like home dog points on Monday night, especially when it's do-or-die time for said home team. 

MNF - Ravens v. Packers

Ravens  +3.5  Packers (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: Ravens

Big time playoff implications for both teams, even though they play in different conferences. I actually see this game as an even toss up. Could go either way. So why not take the 3.5-point padding? Which is another way of saying I don't really feel strongly about this play. 

WEEK 13

Jets  -3.5  Bills (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: Bills

I believe interim head coach Perry Fewell has given the Bills a nice boost. The Jets are in panic mode. The home dog seems the smart play here. 

Eagles  -5.5  Falcons (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: Falcons

This is do or die time for the Falcons. Getting points at home is too tempting to pass up. 

Texans  E  Jaguars (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: Texans

The Texans are too talented to completely spiral down the toilet. I think they'll take advantage of an uninspired Jaguars squad that can barely fill half the seats in their home stadium. 

Buccaneers  +6.5  Panthers (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: Buccaneers

The Bucs are starting to click. A little. They've gone from terrible to a-little-below-average. The Panthers just want to get this season over as fast as possible.  

49ers  E  Seahawks (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: 49ers

I think the Niners will make the playoffs. And they'll need to beat the Seahawks to do so.
