WEEK 13

I hope your turkey is as tasty as all three of the Thanksgiving games. Actually, we've got quite a few tasty games on tap for the holiday weekend. But the Thursday games first...

Lions (H)  O/U  @ 17 vs. Titans

DeVoodoo's pick: OVER
There aren't many remaining opportunities for the Lions to earn some measure of respect for themselves. A prime time Thanksgiving game against the league-best Titans offers a rare chance at redemption. The Lions should still lose the game, but I bet they put up a few points in a valiant effort.

Seattle  O/U @ 17 vs. Cowboys (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: OVER
Hasselbeck desperately wants to forget last week's debacle. He'll use this national stage game to help everyone else forget about it too.

Cardinals/Eagles (H)  O/U @ 46.5

DeVoodoo's pick: OVER
McNabb will play pissed off, which should help. Warner and company will put up a ton of points as well, which is their norm.

Broncos  +7.5  Jets (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: Broncos
The Jets have been hot, but they'll hit a little turbulence this weekend against a Broncos team whose worst football is already behind them.

Saints  +3.5  Buccaneers (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: Saints
Brees is in a zone; and the Bucs' questionable running game should bite them in the ass this weekend.

Giants/Redskins (H)  O/U  @41.5

DeVoodoo's pick: OVER
Two very good offenses squaring off in a division game? 41.5 points seems awfully low to me.

Chiefs  O/U @ 20 vs. Raiders (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: OVER
Offensive coordinator Chan Gailey's freshly installed spread offense is about the only positive thing going for the Chiefs right now. Playing against their division rivals, and with few opportunities to win future games this year, look for the Chiefs to fight hard (if in fact their will isn't already completely broken) and try to beat the Raiders with sheer offensive power alone.

Bears  +3  Vikings (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: Bears
Should be an excellent Sunday Night Football match-up. I'll take the slightly more dynamic Bears team over the one-dimensional Vikings squad.

WEEK 12 -- MNF

Packers E Saints (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: Saints
I must say, I'm not in love with this bet. I think the Packers are a more balanced and talented team. But they haven't been great on the road this year, and winning on the road on Monday night is particularly tough. I'm 3-3 on the weekend so far — let's see if this Saints pick breaks the mediocrity.

WEEK 12

Less than an hour to kick off (sorry for being late!), so let's quickly get to it...

Jets/Titans  O/U  @ 40.5

DeVoodoo's pick: OVER
Two offenses that are just too potent.

Patriots  +2  Dolphins (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: Patriots
The Pats will have an answer for the Dolphins this time. Belichick doesn't get fooled twice.

49ers  +11 Cowboys (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: 49ers
Look for the 'Niners to lose, but cover. It'll be hard for the Cowboys to motivate for this game, but they should find motivation in the second half once they realize the 'Niners won't roll over for them.

Raiders/Broncos  O/U @ 43

DeVoodoo's pick: UNDER
The Raiders won't contribute many points. This total just feels much too high. Should be in the 30s.

Eagles  +2  Ravens (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: Eagles
Apparently Andy Reid screamed at his team until he turned blue in the face last week. That's a rarity for Reid. My bet is that his players will respond, and that Jim Johnson's defense will gt the best of rookie QB Flacco.

Colts  +3  Chargers (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: Chargers
Home on Sunday night, I see the Chargers beating the Colts with a balanced air and ground attack, due to safety Bob Sanders being out for the Colts.

WEEK 11

Let's see if we can keep the momentum going after last week's 5 - 1 effort. I've got a whopping nine games for you this week (including two teasers, which isn't typically my style, but I couldn't resist, and I'll probably pay for it). Let's get started...

Jets/Patriots O/U @ 41

DeVoodoo's pick: OVER
Mangini is so obsessed with beating the Patriots it borders on sociopathic. And now that Favre has more than a half-season under his belt in the Jets offense, I'm betting Mangini's plan is to dump as many points as possible on the Pats (and you know Favre won't be able to resist the temptation to huck the ball on prime time television). Both teams should score more than 20 points each and top this total.

Texans +8 Colts (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: Texans
Depsite last week's four interception effort, I'm a Rosenfels fan. I expect the Texans to put up some points against a Colts squad that's ripe for a letdown game coming off two big wins against the Steelers and Patriots, plus they face the Chargers next week. Fuck the Alamo — don't forget the Texans!

Titans O/U @ 21 vs. Jaguars (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: OVER
I was tempted to take the Jags in an upset over the only undefeated team in the league, but I think taking the Titans' team OVER at 21 is evenj more appealing. I expect two rushing touchdowns and at least one passing TD from the Titans.

Bears O/U @ 20 vs. Packers (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: OVER
The Pack's defense is hurting, especially in the run stoppping department. So regardles of who's starting at QB for the Bears, I expect a few touchdowns.

Chargers  +5  Steelers (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: Chargers
The Chargers' season has been all about peaks and valleys. They're due for a peak performance. The Steelers, on the other hand, are dealing with a slew of injuries to key players, including Roethlisburger and Fast Willie.

7.5-pt. teaser
Vikings -3.5 Buccaneers (H) & 46 O/U

DeVoodoo's pick: Buccaneers/UNDER
I have a feeling this will be a low scoring affair that'll come down to a field goal, so I fought my better judgment to take a 7.5-pt. teaser to get the Bucs to +3.5 and pad the O/U to 46.

6.5-pt. teaser
Rams E 49ers (H) & 50 O/U

DeVoodoo's pick: 49ers/UNDER
The 49ers better win a game soon or Mike Singletary's head will explode onthe sideline in a misty cloud of red plumes. The 'Niners should beat this terrible Rams team. Teasing the points down to make this an EVEN spread and padding the O/U up seemed like the smart choice — like all teasers seem, until they cost you money.

Cowboys -1.5 Redskins (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: Cowboys
The Cowboys aren't as bad as they've appeared recently, and the Redskins aren't as good. Furthrmore, the 'Boys get Romo back and Redskins don't even know if Portis will play.

Browns +5 Bills (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: Bills
The Browns are falling apart at the seams, and the Bills have struggled of late, but they appear unified and determined to right the ship. Playing at home on Monday night, I'm expecting a statement game from the Bills.

WEEK 10 ADDITIONS

Titans  -3  Bears (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: Titans
The Bears' decision-making-challenged QB Rex Grossman should cough up a couple turnovers to this physical, well coached Titans defense.

Jaguars  -6.5  Lions (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: Jaguars
The Jags are in crisis, for sure. But the Lions are completely lost; and who will be their QB on Sunday? Drew Stanton hasn't taken a snap since forever, and Daunte Culpepper has been with the team for four days.

WEEK 10

Broncos  +3  Browns (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: Broncos
The Browns' move to install Brady Quinn at QB reeks of inept desperation. I'll take the slightly less desperate Broncos.

Packers  O/U @ 21.5 vs. Vikings (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: OVER
I fully expect Rodgers and his stellar receiving corps to throw it all over the Vikes. This has the potential to be a shoot-out game.

Saints  +1  Falcons (H)

DeVoodoo's pick: Saints
I've underestimated the Falcons all year long, and paid for it in losses. Apparently I don't learn very fast.

Eagles (H) O/U @23 vs.  Giants

DeVoodoo's pick: OVER
This should be a fun game, and I fully expect the Eagles offense to shine under the bright lights at home on Sunday night football against the defending Super Bowl champs/division rivals.

MNF

Stealers/Redskins O/U @ 37

DeVoodoo's pick: OVER
37 just seems too low for a mid-season Monday night match-up.
